This Refund Policy explains how subscriptions to the Service may be cancelled and refunded, and should be read together with the Service's Terms of Service and Paddle's policies.
1. Seller and Refund Handling
Payment for the Service is processed by Paddle as the Merchant of Record. All payments, refunds, and related customer service are handled by Paddle.
This Refund Policy applies to subscriptions completed through Paddle. For subscriptions completed through a third-party app store (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play) or any other purchase channel, refunds and cancellation are handled under that channel's rules and this Policy does not apply.
2. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time in settings or through Paddle. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; until then, you may continue to use the Service. After cancellation, no further fees are charged, and fees already charged for the current period are not refunded.
3. Refund Principles
- Nature of digital content: the stories and illustrations generated by the Service are digital content that, once provided, is difficult to reverse; except as otherwise required by law or provided in this Policy, fees are in principle non-refundable. - Immediate provision and right of withdrawal: the Service's digital content is provided immediately when you subscribe and begin using it. At purchase you have consented to immediate provision, so for service already provided, withdrawal on the ground that it is "unused" does not apply, except as otherwise provided in this Policy or required by law. - Statutory rights: if the consumer protection laws of your locality grant you a right to a refund or to rescind the contract, the right most favorable to you prevails, and this Policy does not limit it.
4. Discontinuation of the Service on Our Initiative
If we decide on our own initiative to discontinue the Service, such that a subscription period you have prepaid but not yet used becomes unusable, we will refund the fees paid for that unused period on a pro-rata basis through Paddle.
5. Duplicate Charges or Material Anomalies
If a duplicate charge or a material service anomaly occurs, please raise it within a reasonable period, and we will handle it together with Paddle.
6. Trial Credits
Trial credits are provided free of charge, have no cash value, and are not eligible for refunds.
7. How to Request a Refund
You may submit a request via the "View receipt" or "Manage subscription" link in your order confirmation email, or go to Paddle's refund information page (paddle.net). Once a refund is approved, it will be returned via the original payment method within the period prescribed by Paddle's policy.
8. Governing Language
This Refund Policy is provided in Traditional Chinese (zh-TW); other language versions are for reference only, and in case of any discrepancy, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.
